    Syllabus

    1.- The formal rules for the presentation of a written piece of work: title page; table of contents; introduction, subject matter, objectives, 2.- Theoretical framework, methodology, setting out of sub-topics in the chapters; development of the topic; conclusion.   3.- Bibliography; citations; pagination; appendices and annexes.   4.- The organisation of the research: formulating a research question; the literature review; defining the research problem; constructing the analytical model; formulating hypotheses.   5.- Review of data collection techniques: the various sources of information; case law analysis and the case study. 6.-   6.- Critical analysis.   7.- Organisation and drafting of the dissertation.

    Objectives

    The aim is for students to learn how to conduct research in the field of legal and criminal sciences, thereby enabling them to address, through study and reflection, the key issues in this field. Furthermore, students will acquire skills in the collection, processing, interpretation and dissemination of scientific information.
