Content Description 1. Religious Traditions in Central, West, and North Africa Unifying and Divergent Characteristics 2. The African Diaspora in the New World and African-American Religious Traditions Characteristics Present in Afro-Indigenous, Afro-Christian, and Afro-Islamic Religions.

Teaching methodology: oral presentation of content; reading and discussion of texts; debate; presentation of archival and multimedia materials; sharing of documents through an e-learning platform; presentation of reviews. Assessment: The assessment will consist of two parts: the writing of an essay on a topic within the course unit and to be defined during the sessions (50%) and the oral presentation of this essay (50%).
