This course explores the role of emerging digital technologies in water resources management, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and intelligent monitoring tools. It addresses technologies such as sensors, Internet of Things (IoT), digital twins, drones and satellites, analysing their potential for environmental data collection and analysis as well as for improving the management and operation of water systems. The integration of these technologies into decision support systems and digital water governance frameworks is also a key component of the course.
