Class Water Policies, Economics and Governance Module - Water Resources Economics

This course addresses the economic principles applied to water resources management, analysing water as an economic and environmental resource essential for sustainable development. The course explores the fundamentals of water economics, policy and governance instruments associated with water management, and the concept of the Blue Economy, including the ecosystem services that support it. Methods for the economic valuation of water and key trends and challenges related to sustainable water management are also discussed.
