Pedro Aleixo is Undergraduate in Sport Sciences (1997, Faculdade Motricidade Humana); MSc in Exercise and Health (Physical exercise and rheumatoid arthritis; 2005, Faculdade Motricidade Humana); PhD in Physical Education and Sport (Effects of proprioceptive exercises on gait biomechanical parameters of rheumatoid arthritis postmenopausal women; 2016, Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias). Aleixo was Assistant Professor at Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril, Portugal between 2002/09/01 and 2004/06/30. Currently, Aleixo is Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona, teaching Biomechanics and Fitness IV curricular units. He is also an Integrated Researcher of the Centro de Investigação em Desporto, Educação Física, Exercício e Saúde (CIDEFES). Aleixo is also a Personal Trainer since 1998. Aleixo focus his activity on 3D human movement analysis and exercise in clinical and non-clinical populations. His aim as a researcher is to use the technological means available in the laboratory where he works, MovLab, Universidade Lusófona, Lisbon, Portugal, to validate methodologies and work tools in the area of Exercise and Health.
