3rd Psychology Conference at ULusófona strengthen link to professional practice

On 11 and 12 May, Lusófona University - Porto University Centre hosted the 3rd edition of the Psychology Conference Days: Practices and Applications, an initiative aimed at students from different Psychology study cycles - Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s degrees in Clinical and Health Psychology, Forensic Psychology: Victims of Crime and Clinical Neuropsychology.

On 11 May, the programme began with the opening session delivered by the Director of the Faculty of Psychology and Education (FPE), Professor Inês Jongenelen, followed by an information session on the Junior Professional Year, led by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association Academy, and a moment dedicated to presenting research developed at the institution.

On 12 May, the conference continued with thematic sessions focused on emerging areas of Psychology, addressing contributions from Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical and Health Psychology, and Forensic Psychology. In the afternoon, a panel discussion explored professional contexts and challenges in these fields, featuring practitioners who shared experiences and perspectives on psychological practice in different settings. The programme concluded with an additional networking and informal sharing moment among participants.

The Psychology Conference Days once again strengthened the connection between academic training and the different professional contexts of Psychology, providing students with direct contact with areas of specialisation, research, and clinical and forensic practice.
