Beatriz Batarda kicks off the new academic year in Dramatic Arts

The new academic year of the Dramatic Arts – Actor Training degree programme began on 17 September with a special session that welcomed actress Beatriz Batarda to Universidade Lusófona – Porto University Centre.

Speaking to students and teaching staff, the actress shared different moments from her professional journey, from her first experiences in acting to the projects that have shaped her career in theatre, film and television. Throughout the session, she spoke about the path she has built as an actress and the choices and experiences that have accompanied her artistic development.

The conversation also offered an opportunity to explore a range of Beatriz Batarda’s work through examples from her career, giving students a closer insight into different professional contexts and possibilities within the acting profession.

The initiative thus marked the beginning of another academic year dedicated to training new actors, in an environment that seeks to bring academic learning closer to the realities of the arts and the professional world.
