The University of Lusófona – Lisbon University Centre hosted, on 25 May, the seminar “Advanced Human Resources Practices in the Aerospace Sector”. The initiative brought together experts and professionals from the field to reflect on the challenges of people management in one of the fastest-growing sectors worldwide.

Organised by the Applied Master’s in Advanced Human Resources Management, the event featured Hugo André Costa, executive member of the Portuguese Space Agency, Carlos Maio, executive manager at QSR – Talent Driven Culture, and Edson Oliveira, member of the medical board of the European Space Agency. The session was moderated by Marina Garcia, head of Michael Page Consulting.

Throughout the session, guests analysed the impact of the new space economy on the labour market and highlighted the need to attract and develop highly qualified talent to respond to the rapidly evolving aerospace sector. Strategies for collaboration between universities and organisations were also discussed, with the aim of preparing professionals for future industry challenges.
