Essential Goods Collection for the Communities of Leiria and Marinha Grande
Lusófona Education Group institutions mobilise staff, students and families to support affected populations

The Lusófona Education Institutions (Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre and Porto University Centre, and Isla Gaia) have joined forces for a collection of essential goods to help the populations of Marinha Grande and Leiria, focusing on the staff, students and families of our educational institutions ISDOM - Instituto Superior D. Dinis and ETACADEMY – Executive Training Academy.
At present, infrastructure services from Lusófona University are already on site, and later today a set of essential goods will be delivered to the ISDOM facilities.
To reach further and support more communities, we are organising a collection of essential goods until 5 February and rely on the collaboration of the entire ULusófona and ISLA Gaia community.
How to contribute?
Leave your contribution at the following locations:
SIGA - Integrated Student Management Service (Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre);
Campus 3 - PUI (Lusófona University - Porto University Centre);
ISLA GAIA - At the reception.
What goods can I donate?
- Construction materials – Tarpaulins, Roof Tiles, Plastic Sheeting.
- Non-perishable food items (Rice, Pasta, Olive Oil, Vegetable Oil, Canned Food, Milk, Infant Cereals, Biscuits, Water, Sliced Bread, Instant Coffee, Packaged Cheese and Cold Meats, Cereals);
- Personal hygiene and cleaning products (Shampoo, Soap, Shower Gel, Diapers, Wipes, Oral and Feminine Hygiene products);
- Clothing in good condition – (socks, blankets, coats, new underwear – size M, trousers, scarves, hats, gloves and sweaters).
- Construction materials – Tarpaulins, Roof Tiles, Plastic Sheeting…
This initiative will run until 5 February.
The goods will be delivered to ISDOM and ETACADEMY, which will ensure the best possible distribution among the academic and wider communities.
