New membership of the International Association for Food Protection strengthens food safety research and innovation in Portugal

The International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), one of the largest and most prestigious global organisations dedicated to food safety, has established its Affiliate Association in Portugal through the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Lusófona University, with the presidency held by Professor Laurentina Pedroso.
This affiliation represents a significant step towards strengthening research, training, and innovation in the field of food safety in Portugal, bringing researchers, academics, and industry professionals closer to the latest global trends and challenges.
