Fiocruz and Lusófona University Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Partnership strengthens cooperation between Portugal and Brazil in the fields of health, research and innovation

A Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz) and Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre have formalised a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation in the areas of education, research and technological development in Health Sciences.
Fiocruz, a Brazilian public institution linked to the Ministry of Health, was represented by its President, Mario Moreira, and by the Director of the Institute of Drug Technology (Farmanguinhos), Dr Silvia Pereira da Silva Santos.
On behalf of the founding entity of Lusófona University, COFAC – Cooperativa de Formação e Animação Cultural, CRL, the Memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Professor Manuel de Almeida Damásio, Professor Maria da Conceição Soeiro, and the Rector, Professor José Bragança de Miranda.
The agreement establishes a framework for the development of joint projects, academic exchange and scientific collaboration, strengthening ties between Portugal and Brazil and promoting initiatives with impact on education and innovation in Health.
