Google AI tools in academic context at Lusófona University webinar

The growing presence of artificial intelligence in everyday life has been transforming the academic context and creating new possibilities for teaching, learning, and task management. Within the scope of TecWeb, Lusófona University held, on 10 March, the webinar “Google AI in the Everyday Academic Life of Lusófona University”.

The session presented some of Google’s artificial intelligence tools at the university, namely Gemini, integrated into Google Workspace, and NotebookLM. The webinar included demonstrations of various features, such as support for creating lesson plans and assessment rubrics, organising study and producing academic work, drafting emails and documents, as well as generating summaries, study guides, and podcasts from materials such as PDFs, slides, or notes.

Aimed at teachers, students, and staff from all areas, the webinar sought to encourage the use of these tools in everyday academic life and to present best practices for the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
