Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre hosted, on 14 April 2026, a discussion session dedicated to the integration of immigrants in Portugal, as part of the Interculturality Week. The meeting highlighted the role of the Local Support Centres for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM) in intercultural mediation, access to rights and the strengthening of social cohesion. Current challenges were discussed, as well as strategies to strengthen support networks and improve coordination between institutions.
The session included contributions from several organisations working on the ground and concluded with a moment of reflection on public policies and more inclusive responses.
