The Dispax World 2026 conference took place on 25 and 26 February at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre.
The international meeting brought together aviation specialists, regulatory authorities and academics to discuss incidents involving unruly passengers on commercial flights.
Over two days, the causes of this type of behaviour, the available operational responses and the legal implications for airlines and States were analysed. The programme included lectures, panel discussions and practical demonstrations of containment and prevention techniques.
The event addressed topics such as crew mental health, legal challenges, the financial impact of incidents and new risk management strategies. The conference brought together participants from several countries and enabled the sharing of best practices among aviation professionals.
Organised by an international entity in collaboration with Lusófona University, the event reinforced the institution’s international dimension and promoted debate on air transport safety.
