Lusófona University - Porto University Centre organised the 2025 Job Fair on 20 March, an event promoted by EVA – Internships and Active Life. The main objective was to facilitate students' integration into the job market, providing direct contact with companies and a specialised workshop.
With the participation of 23 companies, including Leroy Merlin, Auchan, and the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), the event allowed students to explore various job and internship opportunities. In addition to submitting their CVs directly to recruiters, attendees had the chance to clarify doubts regarding the application process.
Throughout the event, students engaged in various activities designed to strengthen their skills and enhance their preparation for the professional world. One of the most notable moments was the workshop "Impactful Career | Purpose as a Profession," led by Laura Gonçalves, a representative from Teach for Portugal.
During the workshop, the concept of an impactful career was discussed, covering three key aspects: social, environmental, and economic. The speaker challenged students to reflect on how their career choices can contribute positively to the world. Additionally, the Japanese concept of IKIGAI was introduced, which connects passion, mission, vocation, and profession, helping young people find a career path aligned with their values.
With positive feedback and strong participant engagement, the 2025 Job Fair has established itself as a vital platform for connecting companies with future professionals, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of the job market.
