Journalist Zeynep Sentek Discusses the Future of Journalism at ULusófona

Last Thursday, the Open Lecture titled “We are our own saviours: Investigative journalism's future is collaborative” took place at the Professor José Araújo Auditorium.

The event featured Zeynep Sentek, a renowned investigative journalist, who shared her perspective on the paths and challenges of contemporary journalism.

The session focused on the idea that the future of journalism lies in international cooperation and networked work, challenging the traditional model of the lone reporter.

Zeynep Sentek collaborates with several European investigative journalism consortia and coordinates the Black Sea Foundation. She will also attend the European Press Prize 2026, one of Europe’s leading journalism gatherings, supported by Lusófona University, taking place on 3 June at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
