Lusófona Filmes presented short films at the Portuguese Cinematheque

Students from Universidade Lusófona presented their short films at the Portuguese Cinematheque, in a session dedicated to emerging cinema

On December 19, the Portuguese Cinematheque – Museum of Cinema hosted a screening session of short films produced by students from Universidade Lusófona. The event, which took place in the Félix Ribeiro Room, served as a public presentation of projects developed during the previous academic year.

After the screening, a social gathering took place at Espaço 39 Degraus (1st Floor). This meeting allowed direct contact between the young filmmakers, the academic community, and professionals from the sector who were present, facilitating the exchange of experiences regarding the production and post-production processes of the works shown.

This initiative reinforces the collaboration between Universidade Lusófona and the Portuguese Cinematheque, providing students with a professional exhibition context at one of Portugal’s central cinema institutions. We would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the realization of this initiative.


The selection presented included works covering different genres and technical approaches, resulting from practical work in the undergraduate and master’s degrees of the Department of Film and Media Arts. The screened titles were:
