The masterclass “The role of the director in working with actors” took place on March 23, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, at Studio F of Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário Lisboa.
The session, promoted by ECATI, was held in person and was aimed at students of Film and Acting.
Led by Marcelo Taranto, the masterclass focused on the relationship between director and actor, exploring working methodologies, character development, and rehearsal dynamics. Throughout the session, practical strategies were addressed to enhance performance and communication between direction and cast.
The session provided participants with a hands-on learning experience, enabling them to understand the director’s role in guiding performances and developing cinematic narratives through an approach closely aligned with professional practice.
