Between the 10th and 14th of March, the Other Delli Week (ODW) offered an in-depth immersion into the world of paper for students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Design at Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre. The event, which has already become a space for experimentation and innovation, provided a unique approach to handling paper, combining tradition and sustainability.

Throughout the week, participants followed a diverse programme of activities, including lectures, workshops, and debates led by industry experts. The importance of paper and its evolution over time was one of the core topics, encouraging students to reflect on its role in today’s world and in the future, questioning consumption practices and exploring creative and ecological alternatives for its use.

One of the event’s highlights was the presentation of the book "Papel, Papel, Papel" ("Paper, Paper, Paper"), offering an in-depth analysis of the historical, artistic, and functional relevance of this ancient material.

In addition to theoretical discussions, ODW challenged students to experiment with different creative and paper manufacturing processes, encouraging them to rethink its role in design and the environmental impact associated with its use.

More than just a simple week of activities, ODW: PaperWork was a true invitation to reflection and action, motivating future designers to question, innovate, and reinvent their relationship with paper. By integrating sustainability and creativity, the event reaffirmed the commitment of Communication Design to a more responsible and conscious future.
