Polish Delegation Visits Lusófona University’s CLAIM

On 19 March, Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre welcomed a Polish delegation composed of 31 representatives working in the field of migrant integration support.

The visit took place at the Professor José Araújo Auditorium and included an institutional welcome led by Professor Paula Caetano, deputy coordinator of CLAIM – Porto University Centre, during which the main functions and activities of this centre were presented.

Throughout the session, key topics were discussed, such as the integration of migrant children and young people into the education system, recognition of foreign qualifications, language barriers and access to the labour market.

The meeting also provided opportunities for dialogue and the exchange of best practices between the Portuguese and Polish contexts, concluding with a visit to the CLAIM facilities, allowing the delegation to gain direct insight into the service and its operational dynamics.

The organisation and hosting were carried out by the CLAIM – Lisbon University Centre team, including Professor Hélia Bracons, Dra. Isabel Gomes, and Social Work interns Cristiana Gabriela, Ludovina Costa and Micaela Monteiro.

This initiative reinforces Lusófona University’s commitment to international cooperation and to the development of more inclusive and effective responses in the field of migrant integration, in a context of growing social diversity.
