The Theory, Science and Practice of Walking and its Contribution to Awareness of Environmental Heritage and Territorial Education
12.05.23 - 09h28On the 8th of May 2023, researchers from the Department of Architecture and Urbanism of the Universidade Lusófona, teachers, students, and representatives of the Lusofonia Superior School of Education, technicians from the Lisbon City Council and interested parties were at Agualva, for the realization of a workshop on walkability within the scope of the project.
In this workshop, which was welcomed by the President of the Parish Council Agualva - Mira Sintra, Arq. Carlos Casimiro, walking experiences were developed as an experimental methodology to capture the urban ambience and create knowledge about the relationships between the morphology of space and its users, behaviors and practices, sociocultural and symbolic resources activated in a given spatial context.
