ULusófona and AIMA formalise a partnership to support international students
A collaboration agreement and new support tools mark AIMA’s official visit to CLAIM at Lusófona University

On 8 May 2026, Lusófona University received the official visit of César Nuno da Costa Teixeira, board member of AIMA – Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum, to the CLAIM – Local Support Centre for the Integration of Migrants.
The visit marked the formal inauguration of the collaboration protocol between AIMA and Lusófona University, reinforcing the joint commitment to supporting the integration of international students and migrants.
The reception was led by the Coordinator of the CLAIM at Lusófona University, Professor Elisabete Pinto da Costa, along with the Porto team, under the sub-coordination of Professor Ana Paula Caetano.During the meeting, two support tools developed to meet the specific needs of this population were presented:
- The Toolkit for International Students, a set of practical resources for guidance and integration;
- The SIGAP 2 Platform, designed for the integrated management of academic and personal support.
The delegation also visited the offices of CLAIM and the Support Office, gaining direct contact with the facilities and services provided.
