
ULusófona Promotes Session on the Quality of Water and Sand in Coastal Zones
Students and teachers from the Faculty of Engineering attend a lecture on Water Management and the Quality of Sand in Coastal Zones
18.05.23 - 16h09As part of the Medical Microbiology Bachelor in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Engineering Eco-Schools programme, Lusófona University organised an awareness session on the quality of water and sand in coastal areas.
The event, aimed at FE students and teachers, was attended by Dr João Brandão, a Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM) researcher and head of the Mycology Unit in the Environmental Health Department of the Dr Ricardo Jorge National Health Institute.
During the lecture, Dr João Brandão addressed crucial issues related to water quality and the public health problems associated with the quality of sand and bathing areas. Topics discussed included water consumption management and sediment quality, providing a comprehensive overview of the importance of preserving our water resources and bathing areas.
