Workshop Facilitates Migrants’ Integration into the Portuguese Job Market
Lusófona University Initiative Teaches How to Adapt CVs for Opportunities in Portugal
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Adapting one’s CV to a new job market is a crucial step in the professional integration of migrants. Aiming to support this process, Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre, through its Local Support Centre for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM) and the EVA Department (Internships and Active Life), organised the workshop "How Can I Adapt My CV to Work in Portugal?" on 6 May.
To address different linguistic needs, the workshop was delivered in two sessions, one in Portuguese and the other in English, allowing each participant to express their potential clearly and confidently.
During the session, participants had the opportunity to learn strategies for highlighting their academic and professional experiences, turning challenges into strengths, and tailoring their profiles to meet the expectations of the Portuguese job market — thereby increasing their chances of success in recruitment processes.
This initiative reflects Lusófona University's commitment to promoting the inclusion and professional integration of migrants, fostering personal development and diversity, and reinforcing its role as a higher education institution open to the world.
