Objectives
Objectives
The study of Sucessions Law provides students with the tools required for the acquisition of basic knowledge about the legal regulation of inheritance, allowing them to resolve problems related to this branch of the law. As such, this curriculum unit aims at providing students with the necessary knowledge of legislation, jurisprudence, and case law in the field of the law of successions, wills, and probate. Students are expected to acquire theoretical knowledge of the subject matter and should develop the ability to solve cases within the scope of the subject matter taught and are expected to take a critical attitude vis-à-vis the issues.

In Class: 1. Theoretical and practical 1.1 Exposure of the the program contents, through dialogue, accompanied by constant consultation of legal texts and the explanation of concrete examples. 1.2 Resolution of case studies. 1.3. Critical analysis of the results of problems. 2. Tutorial 2.1 personal coaching sessions, to drive the learning process and answer questions. Autonomous: 1. Study 1.1 Reading excerpts from the course recommended reading 1.2 Resolution of the exercises recommended 2. Avaliação contínua:
- Relatório escrito, Intervenções em aula, espontâneas ou direcionadas; discussão nas aulas de situações tipo e de temas relacionados com a matéria lecionada; trabalhos escritos/apresentações, participação em conferências, seminários e eventos, etc. (30%);
- Prova escrita (70%).
Na época de recurso e época especial, a avaliação será feita nos termos do regulamento de avaliação em vigor.
Os alunos de intercâmbio Erasmus ou outros regimes de mobilidade poderão ser avaliados de acordo com um plano individualizado, caso não dominem a lingua portuguesa.Avaliação de estudantes com necessidades especiais: a prova escrita (ológrafa) poderá ter uma duração adicional ou ser substituída por uma prova oral, dependendo do estatuto conferido.
