This curricular unit will deal with social change and how social technologies are shaping these processes. From an organizational point of view, the discipline seeks to understand how entrepreneurship and innovation, as central aspects of social change, are deeply intertwined with different media.

1 - What is social entrepreneurship: how to face and define social problems and create social value?
2 - What is entrepreneurship in the area of media studies and social innovations;
3 - How can we discuss social change today? The roles of the concepts of participation and interaction;
4 - Entrepreneurship as a result of the social networks and motorcycles of its development;
5 - Networks and social change;
6 - Networks and innovations;
7 - Networks and social capital;
8 - Methods and strategies for entrepreneurship;
9 - Law Issues: Technological resolution and regulation of communication platforms. The third sector and the communication among equals.

Objectives
Objectives
This curricular unit will deal with social change and how social technologies are shaping these processes. From an organizational point of view, the discipline seeks to understand how entrepreneurship and innovation, as central aspects of social change, are deeply intertwined with different forms of media. The main learning objectives are:
- To understand the concept of social entrepreneurship and be able to relate it to social innovations;
- To be able to understand the relationship between social networks and media theory;
- To be able to formulate a critical vision of the consequences that social networks have for society;
- To be able to understand how social innovations and entrepreneurship are related to different theoretical approaches, such as social capital theory or network theory.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The teaching method will be based on expository sessions followed by live discussion of the proposed texts. Discussion in study groups will also be encouraged. The evaluation will consist of writing a scientific article.
