Balduíno Patrício César Mateus holds a degree in Electromechanics, an MSc in Industrial Management Engineering and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Coimbra Institute of Engineering (ISEC), Portugal, and a PhD in Industrial Management Engineering from the University of Beira Interior. His main research interests are in the area of production optimization through Artificial Supported Condition Maintenance Policies (Artificial Intelligence Supported on Condition Maintenance Policies). Balduíno Mateus is a teacher at ISEC and currently works at the Lusófona University of Lusófona, as a teacher and researcher. He also is a member of two prestigious research centres: CISE - Electromechatronic Systems Research Centre and RCM2+ - Research Centre for Asset Management and Systems Engineering.
