[EN] Candida Manuel is an associate professor at the Lusófona University of Porto (UL-CUP). She is also the Environmental Engineering degree program director and works as a researcher. At the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Technologies (FCNET), he teaches engineering courses such as mathematics, statistics, analytical chemistry, and water quality and treatment. Currently, her research is on indoor air quality and microbiology, environmental sustainability, and water quality. In 2008, he completed his PhD in Engineering Sciences at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) on the physical-chemical and microbiological quality of drinking water and the effects of biofilms and materials from water distribution pipelines. In addition, he has a master's degree in Chemical Process Engineering (2 years) and a degree in Chemical Engineering (5 years), both from FEUP. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [PT] Candida Manuel é professora associada na Universidade Lusófona do Porto (UL-CUP). É também diretora da licenciatura em Engenharia do Ambiente e exerce funções como investigadora. Na Faculdade de Ciências Naturais, Engenharia e Tecnologias (FCNET), leciona nos cursos de engenharia como matemática, estatística, química analítica e qualidade e tratamento de águas. Atualmente, a sua investigação centra-se na qualidade e microbiologia do ar interior, sustentabilidade ambiental e qualidade da água. Em 2008, concluiu o doutoramento em Ciências da Engenharia na Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) sobre a qualidade físico-química e microbiológica da água potável, bem como os efeitos de biofilmes e materiais de condutas de distribuição de água. Adicionalmente, possui o mestrado em Engenharia de Processos Químicos (2 anos) e a licenciatura em Engenharia Química (5 anos), ambos pela FEUP.
