João Miguel Oliveira Cotrim, PhD, is a global academic, senior researcher, and published author with an international teaching and research profile across leading universities in Mexico and Europe. His work focuses on Responsible Innovation, Ethical Artificial Intelligence, Digital Trust, and Conscious Business, combining strong scientific rigour with clear societal and ethical impact. He is currently a Senior Research Associate at Universidad Anáhuac México, one of Latin America’s leading Catholic and AACSB-accredited universities, where he contributes to international scientific production, collaborative research projects, and high-impact publication agendas. In February 2025, he was promoted to Professor Investigador (Full Professor equivalent) at Universidad Anáhuac México — the highest academic rank in the Anglo-Saxon system — combining teaching and advanced research within the School of Business and Economics. Following this appointment, he transitioned to a Senior Research Associate role in order to pursue a more international, research-intensive academic agenda. In parallel, he is an Affiliated Researcher (Profesor Adscrito) and full member of the Impactful Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Group at EGADE Business School, Tecnológico de Monterrey — one of Latin America’s leading business schools, consistently ranked #1 in Mexico and the region in the QS Global MBA and Business Master’s Rankings — reflecting sustained academic recognition and integration within a competitive research environment. His teaching excellence has been consistently recognised through student evaluations ranging between 95% and 100%. His academic trajectory reflects a sustained commitment to high-quality research, ethical leadership, and responsible innovation. João holds a PhD in Management (ISCTE Business School, Portugal), an MBA (University of Wales / Robert Kennedy College, Switzerland), and Master’s degrees in International Relations and Media & Cultural Analysis. His current research pipeline (2026–2028) includes Q1 journal articles, international co-authorships, and book projects, including Negocios que Inspiran – CheckMate al Viejo Modelo de Empresa (Tirant lo Blanch, 2025) and Horizontal Society (forthcoming, with Dr. Djamchid Assadi). He is also an applicant for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (PF), focusing on Ethical AI, emotional well-being, and responsible digital innovation.
