PhD in Ageing and Chronic Disease (Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the New University of Lisbon and the School of Medicine of the University of Minho). Master degree in Health Sciences in School of Health Sciences of University of Minho. Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences, University of Porto. Among the areas of interest are the research in Neuroscience and their relationship with Nutrition, Nutrition in the life cycle, Neuroendocrinology, Metabolism regulation and Diet-induced dysmetabolism, and the study of population groups with specific nutritional needs.
