Resume

Marisa Nicolai has a degree in Chemistry (2001), a master’s degree in teaching of Physics and Chemistry (2012) and PhD in Chemistry (2009). She is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona. Since 2001 on, she has published several papers in peer-reviewed international journals, book chapters, and dissemination publications. Marisa Nicolai reviewed more than fifty papers published in international journals. She is currently the guest editor of a special issue. and author/co-author of more than one hundred oral communications and posters in international and national meetings. She has received three awards. Currently she is supervising a PhD student, several master dissertations and participated in several academic juries. M. Nicolai is a member of the Scientific Council of the School of Health Sciences and Technologies of Universidade Lusófona, since 2015, and Member of the Pedagogical Council of Universidade Lusófona since 2019. She has integrated the Organizing Committee of some international and national meetings and participates frequently in public outreach activities. She is presently interested in research involving health sciences and human nutrition, where she applies her skills in analytical chemistry, embracing her expertise in chromatographic techniques, mass spectrometry, cell culture, including cytotoxicity assays. These researches may impact the development of nutritional and therapeutic approaches.
