Resume

Nuno Saraiva. Completed his PhD in Cell Biology and Virology in 2012 by Imperial College London Faculty of Medicine, his MSc in Genetics and Molecular biology in 2008 by Universidade de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências and his BSc in Microbiology and Genetics in 2006 by Universidade de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências. Nuno developed his Post-Doc research project at the University of Cambridge, Department of Pathology, UK. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias and a Principal investigator since 2017 at the Research Center for Biosciences & Health Technologies (CBIOS). There, he has been mostly devoted to the study of Ca2+ and redox modulation/signalling impact on cancer cell motility. He has received 4 awards and/or honours. Published more than 25 full articles in international journals and one book chapter. Organised various scientific event(s) and is currently a management committee member of two COST actions (ERNEST and Adher´n Rise). Supervisor of 2 PhD theses. Supervised over 12 MSc and 8 BSc dissertations, in addition to various undergrad students (scientific initiation).
