The Wellness Diagnosis and Intervention curricular unit integrates knowledge acquired throughout the study cycle, enabling students to systematically assess beauty, health and well-being needs. It covers interview and anamnesis, lifestyle assessment, anthropometry, body composition, body and skin assessment, and basic health parameters. Students develop skills to identify needs, set goals, plan individualised non-pharmacological interventions, and monitor and reassess outcomes. Safety, basic life support, scope of practice and referral criteria are also addressed, promoting applied reasoning, decision-making and a person-centred approach.

Teaching methodologies
The curricular unit uses active, student-centred methodologies, linking theoretical content with practical application. Case studies, simulated interviews and assessments, problem-solving and discussion of real-life situations will be used. Practical classes include the use of assessment tools and techniques, BLS training and the development of individualised intervention plans. Collaborative work and critical reflection promote reasoning, decision-making and student autonomy.
