    Presentation

The Unit in Law ensures the integration of the legal framework into the conception, production, and exploitation of audiovisual projects, promoting a critical and applied approach. Students engage with both theoretical and practical knowledge that enables them to understand the legal implications of the different stages of a project, from its initial idea through to distribution and commercialisation. They develop competencies in copyright and related rights, image rights, licensing, and ethics, through the analysis of practical case studies. By the end of the course, students should be able to apply the appropriate legal framework, comply with legal obligations, and independently manage licensing processes in audiovisual projects.

The course places particular emphasis on the practical application of theoretical knowledge and the development of legal competencies within the context of audiovisual projects. Classes combine theoretical instruction with the analysis of practical cases, applied exercises linked to the Transversal Projects, and guest lectures by professionals from fields relevant to the audiovisual sector. Assessment is continuous, focusing on the acquisition of knowledge, the development of critical analysis skills, and the application of legal concepts to real-world situations, fostering students' autonomy and preparing them for professional practice in the audiovisual industry.
