Presentation
The 'Design Office III' module builds on project development in the field of design, broadening and increasing the complexity of the methodologies and approaches introduced during the first year of the course. It involves carrying out a number of short-term projects from a three-dimensional/spatial perspective of communication design. The process is supported by weekly personalised group supervision, which encourages critical reflection and the continuous development of the work. The module may also include lectures and workshops led by external speakers, contributing to the enrichment of the learning experiences and the research carried out within the context of the proposed project. In this way, this module consolidates a student-centred pedagogical model, based on active, collaborative and experiential learning, preparing students for more autonomous and integrated design practices.

Objectives
Objectives
Development of analytical and critical capabilities of the design system and objects (i)materials. Ability to manage a total design process from a project that requires research, idealization, production, realization, implementation, communication and dissemination/marketing strategies. Recognize and explore processes of disciplinary contamination of design (editorial/graphic with the product/equipment design) Identify and understand the creative potential of objects from the vernacular / utilitarian universe and turn them (appropriating) into supports for other contents, functions and meanings. Explore the close relationships between art and design, through cinema, music, theater, illustration, performance, etc. Stimulate and speculate about our own relationship to objects in general and in particular.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
An approach based on integrated design projects is privileged, using the Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology, which allows students to apply the syllabus content in simulated or real contexts of professional practice. The curricular unit also promotes the practice of design thinking, encouraging the creative resolution of complex problems and the generation of innovative solutions, from initial research to final delivery. By articulating technical, conceptual, and strategic skills, the development of communication design projects with a high degree of complexity is fostered, integrating the various phases of the process - research, ideation, prototyping, implementation, and presentation. This pedagogical approach values autonomy, critical thinking, and teamwork, promoting meaningful learning oriented towards the challenges of the contemporary professional market.
