Syllabus
Syllabus
This curricular unit aims to equip students with the skills required to develop and produce authorial fashion design prototypes. Therefore, the main focus will be on pattern making, particularly pattern transformation techniques. The construction of the collection prototypes developed by students in the Fashion Design Laboratory I course unit includes the application of garment components and notions such as interfacing, zippers, buttons, bias tape, horsehair braid, and other elements required for garment construction. This course unit will operate in parallel with the modules of Audiovisual Production Laboratory II (development of short collection teasers), Fashion Portfolio (development of both a physical and digital portfolio documenting the student's academic and creative journey), and Fashion Image Post-Production (creation of a fashion editorial featuring three outfits from the collection).
