The Curricular Unit of TPD III Gymnastics II is part of the 2nd year of initial training of the 1st Cycle of studies in the field of Physical Education and School Sports. It aims for students to acquire pedagogical-professional knowledge, skills, habits, and capabilities necessary for conducting the teaching-learning process within the educational system, in relation to the cultural subject matter - Gymnastics.

1- Gymnastics Apparatus: Characteristics, Handling, Safety Measures 2- Bar - Fixed (Front support face up, Support back somersault, Support swings, Back support swing exits, Connection of various elements); Beam (Movements, Gymnastic elements, Jumps, Balances, Pivots, Forward rolls, Cartwheel, Entries, Exits, Connection of various elements); Mini-Trampoline: Jumps (extension; tucked; straddle, Vertical pirouette, Tucked front somersault, Tucked back somersault); Acrobatic G: Pairs, Trios; 3 - Safety and Risk Reduction in Intervention: Organization and Operation of a Class

Objectives
Objectives
1) To know, interpret and correctly apply scientific, pedagogical and didactic knowledge in the foundational activities of gymnastics, using appropriate language and terminology; 2) To acquire and apply knowledge related to methodological progressions, including knowledge of general and specific physical preparation, inherent to the correct execution of the gymnastic elements addressed in the didactics of the curricular unit; 3) To have basic notions of safety in practice and the correct use of the teacher's intervention methods.

Teaching methodologies
Different teaching methodologies (TM) will be used: Demonstration, experimentation, and practical exercises; Pedagogical practices in simulated situations of planning, organization, and intervention in the context of teaching/learning; Resolution of practical cases; Small group activities; Feedback information provided by the teacher about the work developed.

Assessment
Assessment
A avaliação é contínua e é levada a cabo nos termos do Regulamento Geral de Avaliação da Universidade Lusófona (consultar o documento disponível no moodle). Diferentes instrumentos de avaliação serão utilizados: prova escrita teórica, prova prática individual, trabalho de grupo. As datas dos momentos de avaliação são comunicadas no início do semestre (a informação é também colocada no moodle).
Prova escrita teórica: frequência escrita que inclui toda a matéria prática e teórica abordada ao longo do semestre.
Prova prática individual: realização de elementos e sequências nos vários aparelhos, bem como de figuras de G. Acrobática. Realização da intervenção manual nos aparelhos e ginástica acrobática
Trabalho de grupo: trabalho realizado em pequeno grupo com um momento de avaliação. O trabalho é submetido no moodle e os alunos realizam uma apresentação oral e prática. Os docentes podem solicitar aos alunos uma reunião presencial para justificarem/defenderem algum conteúdo do trabalho.
