Presentation
The Final Work curricular unit constitutes the culminating moment for the consolidation and integrated application of the knowledge and skills developed throughout the Bachelor's Degree in Portuguese Studies. As part of a programme oriented towards the current and future challenges of the Portuguese language, this curricular unit fosters critical reflection, research, and the production of knowledge in the fields of the Portuguese language, cultures, and literatures, from a contemporary and interdisciplinary perspective. The Final Work encourages scientific autonomy, analytical capacity, and the articulation between theory and practice, valuing the Portuguese language as an instrument of communication, knowledge construction, and cultural transmission. Its aim is therefore to prepare students to respond to the social, scientific, and professional contexts of Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries.
