Presentation
The Drawing V course aims to develop the skills for carrying out a Personal Project (PP) of an artistic nature, through the language, strategies and instruments traditionally attributed to the discipline of Drawing. Recognizing the importance of Drawing in contemporary times, students develop artistic proposals and execute their projects, realizing the importance of documenting the artistic process, as well as recording and disseminating the final results, through the construction of a portfolio. The relevance of this course is justified by its complementarity to the Painting, Painting Studio and Human Figure courses of the Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts, extending the time of accompaniment with teachers, and creating opportunities for the student to test, discuss and execute projects focused on artistic drawing of an authorial nature.

Objectives
Objectives
This course aims to empower students to create a Personal Project (PP) of an artistic and original nature; encourage the capacity for dialogue, discussion, and self-criticism; broaden visual culture, artistic imagination, and creative skills; highlight the suitability of the means and techniques chosen for each PP; explore the experimental, personal, and creative universe; raise awareness of the importance of authorship; adapt each PP to the site that hosts it (site-specific); recognize and know how to leverage the intrinsic and extrinsic constraints inherent to each PP and the space that hosts it; develop sensitivity to the technical needs of assembling the work (lighting, placement, and arrangement); and stimulate students' attention to the aspects of documenting and disseminating the works created (photographing with the aim of documenting and promoting).

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
Student support is tutorial-based, which promotes personalized guidance focused on each student's interests. Through mandatory scheduling, students have the opportunity to present the various phases of their project, receiving relevant references that can nurture, but also challenge, the direction of their work. The professor proposes a general theme for the development of the students' PP (Project Planning), however, those who wish to do so may individually propose another theme. Students choose drawing media and supports to best explore their individual interests. There are always critical group discussions about the works in progress with SWOT analysis to further develop the vocabulary and analytical discourse of the students. Each student should consider this course unit as an opportunity to develop their artistic practice and exhibit their results in the DCAM exhibitions, presenting their work in a real-world context.
