    Syllabus

    There are no fixed program contents, since each year there will be different guests. The master classes will be given by teachers/researchers whose focus is related to the contents of the CS, and expert professionals (DMO, local development associations, tourism resource managers, among others) of international and national reference and who currently already develop partnerships with Lusofona University. In each master class, students will be provided with the programmatic contents. Master classes will be organized dedicated to research in the area of tourism and its application contexts. Although they deal, transversely, with the main domains related to tourism, the master classes will present special articulation with the research lines defined for the master's degree.

    Objectives

    -Recognize the diversity of trends, themes and research questions, and areas of professional practice in the field

    of tourism.

    -Compare different conceptual, theoretical, and methodological approaches in tourism domains.

    -Critically analyze the impact of conceptual, theoretical, and methodological diversity on tourism science research

    for the advancement of this scientific domain.

    -Discuss and formulate scientifically oriented arguments on specialized tourism research fields

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    During the course of the classes, students will have the possibility to contact the real world, through contact with specialists who work in Tourism and Hospitality companies, both international and national, in order to develop creative skills and the ability to solve progressively more complex problems. Thus, several thematic seminars and study visits will be held.

    The Inverted Classroom methodology will also be applied through group work to solve problems, case studies and peer learning.

    In the Master Classes students will present their dissertation projects before a jury consisting of 3 elements.
