The UC Sociology of Education aims to deepen the critical analysis of the relationship between education and society, examining formal and informal educational processes, considering classical and contemporary sociological theories. As part of the field of sociological analysis of public policies in education, this UC contributes to the training of professionals and researchers capable of critically intervening in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of educational policies. The UC focuses on issues such as educational inequalities, social justice and the challenges of inclusion, and is particularly relevant to the study cycle as it provides theoretical and analytical tools that are essential for specialisation in Public Policy and Educational Contexts.
