Syllabus
Syllabus
1. In-depth 3D garment construction in the development of digital 2D patternmaking: Development of trousers, shirts, and jackets and their details: Application of garment details, fabrics, and types of pockets to various garments. 2. In-depth avatar editing: composition of various garments, with respective styling (shoes / hair) 3. In-depth study of virtual fashion environments: Theoretical and practical notions for presenting a fashion product in a virtual environment through avatar movement. 4. Development of 3D virtual clothing applied to Fashion Design Project I and II a. Development and characterisation of the virtual avatar (adding and editing motion to the avatar for parading) b. Checking the tension of the fabric in different ergonomic positions of the human body/avatar; 5. Design and production of a virtual fashion show (with or without a moving/animated avatar) to communicate their final author's collection in virtual environments.

Objectives
Objectives
The curricular structure also aims to develop a 3D fashion collection of five total looks in parallel with the Fashion Design Project I and II curricular units. This UC intends for the students to gradually execute, until the final phase, the design and production of a virtual fashion show (moving avatars/animation) to communicate their final author and brand capsule collection in virtual environments.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
It is a theoretical-practical subject that combines lectures from the syllabus with exercises in 3D software for creating virtual environments based on the learning-by-doing methodology. A practical project with respective analyses will be developed in class throughout the semester.
