Presentation
The objective of this CU is to acquaint students with the history of cinematographic museology, the different collections and missions of a cinematheque, museums or other entities responsible for film and audiovisual collections, and the challenges they face today in contemporary societies. The student should be able to explain how the concepts of “museum”, “archive” or “heritage” crossed with the history of cinema and the history of cinema ideas. Archives, history and film theory form connections and mutual interference throughout the “century of cinema”.
