    Objectives

    Entrepreneurship is a dynamic area of management, requiring skills for the creation, development and consolidation of businesses. This course aims to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge essential to pursue a business career or apply the entrepreneurial spirit in various professional contexts. It is intended to develop innovation, creativity, value creation and sustainability capacities. Main objectives: Stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit and interest in the creation of companies; Develop skills for the presentation of business ideas; Use risk assessment tools and resources; Identify and analyze business opportunities; Understand investor evaluation criteria and the importance of industrial property; Assess the economic viability of new businesses;

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

      The methodology is based on experiential learning throughout the semester in which the student develops their business idea in the field of Biotechnology. Students are required to present a business idea, develop a business plan, and present the business opportunity. To validate their business opportunity, students will need to gather market information. In class, the instructor presents and discusses the program topics, provides examples, solves exercises, or presents case studies to encourage critical thinking and assist students. Some classes are dedicated to student project presentations and subsequent clarification of doubts. A diverse set of approaches and tools will be implemented, including lectures, videos, real-life case examples, collaborative group work, external research, student presentations, interaction with entrepreneurs, visits to incubators, accelerators, or startups, and Entrepreneurship Competitions.
