The main objective of the Curricular Unit (CU) Research Seminar - Communication in Organizations is to support master's students in the definition and development of their research work leading to to obtaining a master's degree.
To this end, throughout the semester, students will have the opportunity to learn about various research projects in the field of Communication Sciences and/or Applied Communication projects at Universidade Lusófona, with greater focus on the following themes: Communication & Health, Communication & Environment , Communication & Culture, Communication & Tourism.
Finally, within the scope of this CU, students will be invited to produce an original article, to be submmited at an event - to be determined.

In the academic year 2023/2024, the Curricular Unit (CU) Research Seminar - Communication in Organizations will be structured into two main areas:
1. Presentation and discussion of CICANT research projects that are aligned with the students' areas of interest
2. Preparation of a scientific article, preferably related to the theme of the master's thesis.

Objectives
- Expand knowledge related to conceptualization, planning, development, execution and evaluation of various research projects in the field of Communication Sciences and/or Applied Communication projects at Universidade Lusófona.
- Expand the ability to critically analyze research and/or communication projects applied in different areas, considering strategic aspects, methodological issues, operationalization and execution, as well as evaluation of results.
- Support the definition and elaboration of own research projects within the interdisciplinary field of Communication in Organizations.
- Communicate in a clear and coherent way the self-understanding of the themes that constitute the course's program, in oral, written and audiovisual modes.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
This year, the focus of this curricular unit will be in supporting the students research projects, firstly presenting several current research projects from Lusófona's CICANT, to provide practical examples which can inspire and provide guidance to their own investigation in the realm of the master degree. During the semester, the students will have the opportunity to present their on-going work, to obtain feedback from senior researchers , as well as their peers.
