    By the end of this course unit, students are expected to be able to: Develop a well-founded and up-to-date understanding of the various aspects of politics; Understand the connections between political and economic systems in the contemporary world; Recognise how the field of politics has expanded due to media impacts; Understand the mutual implications between media theories and theories of society; Comprehend the historical development of mass media studies.

    Teaching methodologies

    The course unit is based on the following teaching methodologies: Guided reading and discussion of different works, authors, and schools of thought; Analysis of specific cases and contemporary events; Development and presentation of research work; Viewing of documentary audiovisual content and critical reflection on it.
