Objectives
By the end of the course unit, students should be able to: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the paradigm of Globalisation; Comprehend the contemporary media ecosystem; Critically analyse and reflect on case studies of political campaigns and communication; Identify preventive strategies in the relationship between Politics and the Media that contribute to strengthening social cohesion.

Assessment
A avaliação é contínua, valorizando a assiduidade, qualidade da participação e progressão na unidade curricular (ponderação de 10%), e inclui um trabalho de exposição e defesa oral - de texto disponibilizado ou caso de estudo - com debate subsequente (ponderação de 30%), assim como um ensaio final sobre um dos temas do programa (ponderação de 60%), seguindo a estrutura clássica de um artigo científico, com a respetiva revisão da literatura.
