Objectives
Objectives
Students will develop a solid understanding of organizational risk management principles and business continuity frameworks, with particular emphasis on the ISO 31000 and ISO 22301 standards. They will acquire the ability to conduct business impact analyses, apply structured risk assessment techniques, and design risk management procedures that support operational resilience. By the end of the course, students will be able to identify and evaluate risks, propose mitigation strategies, and develop business continuity plans that ensure the continuity of critical activities in disruptive scenarios.

Teaching methodologies
The course adopts innovative, digitally supported teaching-learning methodologies that combine interactive online lectures with problem¿based learning, scenario analysis and simulation of disruptive events. Students work with real¿world risk assessment tools, business impact analysis templates and continuity¿planning frameworks, applying them in collaborative virtual exercises that mirror professional practice. Synchronous sessions use breakout discussions, live polling and digital whiteboards to promote active engagement, while asynchronous activities integrate short video explainers, guided tasks and reflective prompts to consolidate learning. This blended online approach ensures an applied, participatory and student¿centred learning experience aligned with the course's technical and analytical outcomes.
