The course unit Internship I is part of the Master's in Teaching Informatics, within the scientific area of Introduction to Professional Practice (IPP), taught in the 1st semester of the 2nd year, together with Internship II. It aims to immerse the future Informatics teacher in professional teaching practice, at a cooperating school, throughout the academic year, supervised by the University's guidance teacher and the school's cooperating supervisor. It focuses on participation in curricular and non-curricular activities, understanding the legal framework of teaching duties, carrying out supervised teaching activities, collaborating on lesson plans and assessment instruments, and the initial development of digital teaching competence in light of DigCompEdu. As an immersion course, it forms the central core of supervised teaching practice in the study cycle.

CP1 - Observation and analysis of the trainee's practice in real Informatics teaching contexts. CP2 - Defining approach strategies, plans or learning scenarios using digital technologies. CP3 - Assessment methods on curricular topics for the school years selected for the trainee to teach. CP4 - Managing activity as an advisor to the class director and liaison with parents/guardians. CP5 - Participation in meetings of the 550-Informatics subject group (agenda, conducting the meeting, summaries and minutes). CP6 - Participation in Class Councils for assessment and grading at the end of the term/semester. CP7 - Introduction to using DigCompEdu as a tool for reflecting on and diagnosing students' digital competences.

Objectives
Objectives
LO1. Participate in curricular and non-curricular Computer Science activities, such as robotics clubs. LO2. Understand the legal framework of teaching duties, especially in the context of the school's educational project. LO3. Carry out teaching activities with students under supervision. LO4. Collaborate in drawing up lesson plans and adapting educational resources, based on Portuguese curricular documents (Essential ICT Learning, Computer Applications B, Programming and Information Systems, Student Profile, Digital Citizenship Framework). LO5. Contribute to building assessment instruments and methods. LO6. Identify situations requiring special attention, implementing appropriate strategies. LO7. Promote the initial development of digital teaching competence through observation and participation in the school environment, based on the European DigCompEdu framework.

Teaching methodologies
ME1-ME2 - Participant observation, practical experience and integration into projects in the school environment, developing critical understanding of theoretical foundations and institutional practices (LO1, LO2). ME3 - Carrying out teaching activities under the cooperating supervisor's guidance, facilitating the transition between theory and practice (LO3). ME4 - Drawing up lesson plans and learning scenarios, planning workshops, instructional design and collaborative discussions, testing AI-based technological solutions in real contexts (LO4). ME5 - Practical workshops, critical analyses and group work, developing analytical skills and adjusting assessment processes (LO5). ME6 - Case studies, guided observation and reflective debates to identify situations requiring special approaches (LO1, LO2, LO6). ME7 - Guided supervision sessions, direct observation and analysis of educational practices supported by DigCompEdu (LO7).

Avaliação com três componentes: a) qualidade da participação do estagiário nas atividades previstas no plano de estágio, considerando atitudes (assiduidade, pontualidade, responsabilidade, cooperação) e conhecimentos/práticas realizadas (40%); b) qualidade do portefólio digital, das reflexões registadas e da sua apresentação e discussão em sessão de trabalho no final do semestre, avaliada em conjunto pelo Supervisor de Estágio e pelo Professor Orientador, ponderados de forma igual (40%); c) relatório de observação com reflexão crítica baseada nas dimensões do DigCompEdu, como evidência da integração do referencial europeu no processo de autoavaliação e desenvolvimento profissional (20%).
