Conference Cycle Annual Training Plan – Social Work Student Mentors
A programme that values mentorship and peer collaboration, promoting inclusion, well-being, and academic success at the Institute of Social Service
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The Annual Training Plan for Social Work Student Mentors is part of the institutional strategy to promote integration, academic success, and student well-being at the Institute of Social Service. Through this programme, the goal is to strengthen the role of student mentors as agents of support and mediation among peers, contributing to a more inclusive, supportive, and participatory academic environment.
This training plan is integrated into the ISS Activity Plan and the INOVEDU Project, within the Mentorship subproject, which aims to promote innovative and collaborative teaching practices centred on experience sharing and peer support. By aligning with this initiative, the plan reinforces the Institute’s commitment to educational innovation and the holistic development of students, valuing cooperative learning and the development of transversal skills.
The proposed training seeks to equip mentors with personal, social, and academic skills that enable them to effectively support their peers, lead activities, and contribute to a more cohesive, democratic, and inclusive academic community throughout the academic year.
